About Dover First Baptist Church
A church rooted in a rich and enduring history, our congregation has been faithfully gathering in worship and community since 1757. Our Purpose
Our purpose is to know Jesus deeply and to make Him known to others. We long to see people enter into a life-giving relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, discovering the lasting hope, joy, and peace that only He can provide. As followers of Christ, we gather as a church family to encourage one another, grow in our understanding of who God is, and learn how to honor and glorify Him in our everyday lives.
Expository Preaching
In every service, you will hear teaching rooted firmly in God’s Word, the Bible. Each message is shaped and guided by Scripture, with the goal of helping you clearly understand its meaning and apply it personally to your life. As you consistently sit under the truth of God’s Word, you’ll discover its transforming power at work within you.
Serving Others
As followers of Christ, our greatest calling is to love God wholeheartedly and to love others as ourselves. We seek to share Christ’s love both within our church family and throughout our community—serving those in need, praying faithfully for one another, and walking together through life’s burdens. In all we do, we strive to reflect the selfless, sacrificial love that Jesus has shown us.
